We are delighted to publish our latest article written by Dr John Hockey entitled: Dancing and Romancing with Infantry: Reflections on an Ethnography. The article considers the complexity of ethnographer motives for conducting research in dangerous and violent contexts. Dr Hockey approaches this task by examining his own biographical development over many years, examining the practices and perceptions which helped him sustain his motives through the challenging fieldwork situations during an ethnography with the UK infantry.
